Protecting the skin from the solar UV rays is a public health issue. Both UVB and UVA rays induce multiple damages in the epidermis and the dermis that contribute to photo-carcinogenesis and photoageing. Sunscreen products are effective to prevent these deleterious effects. In the present study, the photoprotection afforded by 2 commercial sunscreen products (Anthelios 50+ (La Roche-Posay) and formulation B), and 2 ISO sunscreens standard P3 (SPF15) & P6 (SPF40) was analyzed and compared regarding UV Solar Simulated Radiation (UVSSR) -induced damages on  reconstructed skin tissues. The photoprotective potential against UVSSR exposure was evaluated according to several biological parameters, including DNA lesions.
